The first Saturday in October each year our church participates with a few other churches and charitable organizations in the annual Hunger Walk sponsored by Delta 2000. Those participating collect pledges or just make donations that go to their designated organizations to feed those in need. At Eastside the funds we raise go toward our food pantry. We are blessed to give away a lot of groceries, and the Hunger Walk raises a healthy portion of what we spend of food.
The walking happens at Contra Loma Regional Park, around the lake. We have a number of folks participate each year. Here are some pics from this morning's event.
