6 Years

I’m sure most of us remember exactly where we were and what we were doing six years ago today when the first plane hit the World Trade Center Tower in Manhattan. As a result of that day things are different in our country, the world has changed, and each of us has been changed, in ways we perhaps don't even understand. Not everything that has happened in the wake of 9/11 has been positive, but a few really good things have happened.

Today in the news it is reported that there is a grass roots swelling across the nation to mark this day by doing good for others. What a wonderful response on the anniversary of a tragic event. What some meant as evil, others are finding ways to turn toward good.

I can’t help but think that as Christians we are called to live that kind of life… doing good for others… being the Body of Christ to those around us… every day, not just this day. Let’s remember the One who gave His life for us and live in such a way so as to honor His sacrifice.
