And, as a bonus, here's Claire's two-week old shot that Jen posted.

Mission Moscow - 4
We hung around in the fellowship hall for a while after church and Jen and Fok met some people, including at least one other couple new to the area.
The afternoon included another trip to the hardware store and WalMart, some yummy Chinese take-out, and a brief picture session orchestrated by Nanna... of course!! Here are some samples:

Mission Moscow - 3
After eating we were all sitting around and decided to let Claire test drive her new vibrating bouncer from Fok Shuen and Catherine. I think she decided she likes it. Check it out.
After a while she let us know she was ready to park the bouncer for a while and go back to that "being held" thing. No problem, Claire.
Mission Moscow - 2
This morning started with a trip to the local farmers' market... not a big one, but lots of good stuff, and man was it crowded. We made it home with plenty of produce and and some homemade sweet rolls.
Well, off to get some more stuff done. More later...

Mission Moscow - 1
Nanna is one of Clarie's favorites... she's my favorite too! This girl is in the right family... she already has a sense of humor. As the day closed and we downed those burgers from Lefty's, here's what God was doing in the western sky. Pretty cool, eh?
More news tomorrow...

More News from Moscow
Later today VJ was at the one WalMart that is shared between Moscow and Pullman. It's actually on the west side of Moscow, but it attracts students and families from both schools. Sooo... there was Virginia, patiently negotiating the crowded aisles, searching the unfamiliar layout for everything on her list... when the lights went out. The whole store went dark, nobody panicked, employees used flashlights to usher everyone to the front, and all the shoppers had to leave their overflowing carts, go the parking lot, creep through the traffic snarl, and go their ways. I gotta say... probably better it was VJ instead of me. :-) Oh well, WalMart will likely be up and running tomorrow.
Can't leave without sharing some pics:
Now, this last one is definitely "printable" material... maybe even "contest winning publishable" but then I may just be a little biased.

News from Moscow
And Claire... well, she seems to be about the sweetest baby ever, and I'm counting the days until I get to hold her.
More to come...

OK... you get the idea. I could write a lot of things about Virginia, but you might expect that. Instead, here's a link to something written by a former co-worker and close friend. The post is called "What Can I Say?"
I'll just say "ditto" and HAPPY BIRTHDAY & ANNIVERSARY, SWEETIE!!!

Ruby Claire Gah Yee Johnson Leung
August 13 is one day short of Virginia's birthday, but this way Claire gets her own day, although we do have a good friend in Houston born on 8/13. She was 7 lbs and 1 oz, 20 inches long.
Here are the very first photos of this sweet little girl.
Claire with her Daddy.
One last shot of sleeping beauty. Can't wait to see her eyes and hold her myself.
The birthing center at the hospital is really cool. Claire's "official" pic should soon be posted here. If you're interested you can surf around the site.
So, it's time for another trip to Idaho. Virginia will fly out early Wednesday morning. I'll follow the following Tuesday, and we'll both come home on the 27th. Can't wait!!

Michigan Wedding and Baby Update
This was pretty cool... a "candy bar" with all of Matt's and Melissa's favorite candies.
The four Storm boys with their Grandma Bean.
The proud mom and dad, Mel and Diane, along with other family. Not sure who the guy in the back with the beard is, but at least he's smiling.

NEWS FLASH
On the way home from the airport Jen called us with the news that she thinks she is in early stages of labor. Guess Claire is getting ready to make her appearance in the world. Don't know how quickly it will happen, but Virginia is packing her suitcase and will probably fly back to Idaho on Wednesday or maybe Thursday... we'll see. Please keep Jen and Claire in your prayers. Thanks!!

While Jen and family were still in Boston, they used on-line resources and a helpful math department secretary to rent a house in Moscow... sight unseen except for photos. Well, it's quite a house. From the street it looks like the average 40+ year old house in need of a little paint. However, looks are deceiving in this case. You see, the back of the house is on a hillside, so most of it isn't even visible from the front. The upstairs is fairly roomy, but the downstairs is even bigger. And, there's a two-story deck all across the back of the hose overlooking the jungle of a back yard. The panorama pic above is from the deck.

Idaho Trip 3
I couldn't resist one more shot of Multnomah Falls to start this post. We didn't have time to hike to the top of the falls, but VJ and I did that a few years back, and it's definitely worth the trip. Not sure you can tell from this shot, but it's the 2nd tallest falls in the states... yes, those are people up on that bridge which is just part way up the falls.
On Tuesday Jen finished the deal on her new car in Lewiston, a 2007 Toyota Rav4 with the 3rd seat option. She had a protection package added (undercoating, paint protection, fabric), so we came back Wednesday morning to pick it up. It drives really nicely, and should serve them for many years.
Kaleb went to a rec center day camp each day from 9:00-3:00, giving him something to do, allowing him to meet some kids, and allowing us to easily do stuff or Jen and make appointments. In the evening he took swimming lessons at the pool. We were really impressed with his instructors.
Next post I'll talk a little about the house they rented and share some photos of the yard.
Virginia has been in Michigan for Matt's and Melissa's wedding. She called to say it was a really neat ceremony as she was driving to the reception with her brother, Jim. More about that after she gets home. That's it for now.

Winding Down
The plan is to drive to Portland Saturday and stay with Jen's friend from William and Mary Days, Carrie. Then Sunday we'll head on to Moscow. On Monday Kaleb starts a day camp and swimming lessons so he can meet some kids and begin to make new friends. We'll have lots of errands to do, including picking up Jen's new car, a Toyota Rav4.
We'll start back sometime Wednesday... unless Claire makes an early appearance. Fok flies in Wednesday night, and I know Jen and Kaleb will be glad to see him as he will to see them.
